The upgraded S Edition of Captur incorporates Alcantara upholstery for enhanced comfort, with red stitch detailing, while the steering wheel, handbrake and gear lever are finished in leather. All interior door-pillars and the headlining are in dark grey, with the 7.0-inch colour touchscreen also styled in red, while the foot-pedals are aluminium.
Its exterior design features lower door accents and both front and rear ‘skid-plates’ in Gun Metal Grey, with 17.0-inch diameter ‘Filante’ alloy wheels exclusive to the S Edition. There is a choice of six bodywork colours with an optional (no cost) choice of a black roof and black door mirrors, although they can be painted in Ivory or Mercury at extra cost.
Three engines complete the S Edition line-up, with the dCi 90 diesel motor being joined by both TCe 130 and 150 petrol units. Transmission choices include both 6-speed manual and automated-manual units.
Naturally, Renault’s engaging Captur is available in three other trims: Play, Iconic and GT Line. ‘EasyLife’ is Renault’s packaging exercise that provides customers with a simple choice of three trims, offering better value for money, allied to enhanced looks, with more equipment, when compared to the previous line-up. The new S Edition fits neatly between Iconic and GT Line.
Standard on the entry-level Captur Play, are electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, a hands free keycard, with a pushbutton to start and stop the engine, and front and rear LED daytime running lights. Each Captur also comes with a long list of safety equipment as standard, including ABS with Emergency Braking Assist, Electronic Stability Control and a seatbelt-unfastened warning buzzer.
Captur Iconic upgrades to 17.0-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control and Renault’s MediaNav infotainment system, which includes a seven-inch colour touchscreen and navigation, as well as Bluetooth, DAB radio and compatibility with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. It also adds rear parking sensors.
Captur GT Line adds Renault’s R-Link infotainment system, with live satellite navigation and DAB radio with 3D-sound. It also features a reverse parking camera, blind spot warning, front and rear parking sensors and full LED front fog/cornering lights. In addition, the Captur GT Line has grey front and rear skid plates like the S Edition.
